The Longhorse, a research and development snafu

Today I have been doing at least 3 things at once.

I have been working on a business model, I have been doing R&D, and I have been brainstorming.

The business model- setting up what you do so it can be reproducable by others and planning out the year- is fairly straightforward. And it is easy to see how profit can be derived directly from it.

Research and development is a completely different mindset, I find, than working on developing the business model. Still, people understand how this is directly related to topline growth.

Brainstorming? That is usually about as well respected as day-dreaming. And for me it is something along those lines, but then this happens:

so where research and development are probably the most like play for me, I adore the budding Mandelbrot madness of wrestling with a problem.
