Music, food, art, fun… what more could you want? About 20 minutes from Shirley MA.

F1RST THURSDAYS – AUG 1ST HIGHLIGHTS_____ LET’Sdance!!! This month’s F1RST THURSDAYS kicks-off at the Fitchburg Cultural Alliance headquarters, as Rollstone Studios at 633 Main St., presents FREE live dance performances from 4-6 p.m.  Candice Salyers presents a performance installation.  Watch Candice perform contemporary dance that unfurls poetic movement through performance interactions with viewers.  Candice can be seen in the front window at Rollstone Studios in a “living” gallery performance. Then from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Danny Guzman from Cornerstone Performing Arts Center presents live break dancing at the front of the gallery.

The Armory at 14 Wallace Ave., hosts a Participatory Dance Celebration of the 50^th Anniversary of the Twist – led by Ellen Kettle and the Fitchburg Business Networking Group from 5-6p.m.   Then, the Northern Lights Finnish Dancers perform from 6-7p.m.

These free events are a great introduction to the wonderful diversity of dance.

Plus… 3-7pm     FREE Tastes of Chocolate Fondue @ Chaibo!

3-7pm     The Farmer’s Market season continues at Crocker Field… featuringPatchata Dancing and more!!!!!!

4-7pm     Art gets a second chance…as Design at 639 presents ‘Salon Des Refuses’

4-7pm     YUM!!!  Enjoy the “NITETIME” Tastes of the Ugly Omelet at Rollstone Studios and One Thong Chai     at Design at 639/The Umbrella Gallery!

4:30-9     Dave Morency performs at Goombas Pizzeria…                        Guest Info-Booth: Student Leaders of North Central Charter Essential School.

5-7:30     Faith United Parish provides FREE Pizza and Refreshments at 6pm, followed by great family fun!!!

6-8pm     FREE Mini-Hand Treatments, Neck & Shoulder Massages, Refreshments and more…at The Total You!!!

6-:00pm  Bring on the Night!! Destare is the place for     Performance Dance by Salsa Passions @ 6pm, Summer Fun Martini Tasting @ 7pm and The Jazz Depot @ 8pm!!!!!

6:45pm   Doors open, as FATV hosts the Stratton Players                 “2010-2011 Season Preview Taping” @ 7:30pm

9:00pm   FLASH performs at The Umbrella Gallery!!!
