First of all, I guess I am a mother. I have been one for most of my life, and today as I write this my youngest, who is 13 years old, is sitting in the living room online – on Tumblr or Reddit – on the other couch. Two peas in a pod!
I am a real estate sales agent licensed in MA. I have learned to be pretty proficient in WordPress setup, and have presented many times at Social Media/Tech/Real Estate conferences. I have gone to 3 Inman Connect conferences, RETech South, PodCamp Western MA, many REBar Camps and helped to host a conference in NYC for the TwitterQueens – the TQNYC event. I love the ideas that I pick up to bring home and implement, and more than that, I love the energy and the networking. And I love getting back home to implement those ideas. Most recently, I went to Orlando to present at the Florida Realtors Convention.
Currently I am Director of Online Media and Team Support for Team HomesJustForYou at RE/MAX Property Promotions in Leominster. I am excited about working with team leaders Anne and David La Liberty and Kurt Thompson, and learning the fantastic systems that they already have in place for the team.
Previously, I was Director of Client Relations and New Business Development at Towne & Country, Realtors®. I sold some real estate because I am proficient at it, but my job was mainly enhancing the customer experience, and selling ALL of our listings. Towne & Country, Realtors® joined Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in January of 2012.
Tech in real estate is not a passing fad, any more than the telephone is a passing fad, or the postal service is a passing fad (well, bad example, maybe). Whether we like it or not, things change. One thing that I don’t do is jump on the newest thing just because it is the newest thing- unless I can see the merit to doing so. I WILL learn something new if it has been tested and has merit in business.
I also am an artist, a reader, a gardener (sometimes). Not much of a housewife!
